We placed mom and dad who are in their nineties into the care of Litchfield Joy Senior Living. The care they received was nothing short of amazing. During their entire stay they never complained about their care or the facility, not once. They only raved at what they had been missing! We moved them in during the pandemic and not a moment too soon. They were not getting the proper care at their former assisted living facility. Within 24hrs the care they received at Litchfield Joy was outstanding. Dad got a shower and a much needed haircut and shave. Mom got a shower and her hair done. They had clean clothes on. They were so happy! From the home cooking to the activities and games, mom and dad thoroughly enjoyed the care they received at Litchfield Joy. They always had clean clothes on, everyday. All resident birthdays and holidays were celebrated. The facility was always clean, spotless and odor free. Medications were dispensed properly. We were always kept informed of their care and progress. This all made our lives easier too! Nicole and Romi treated mom and dad like family. They were so gentle, caring and kind with the care they provided. Mom and dad both eventually passed under hospice care but it was Nicole, Romi and their son Nicholas who really made a difference in ensuring mom and dad were comfortable and getting the best care possible. We can never thank them enough for the care and compassion they gave to mom and dad during their entire stay, especially at the end. It made all the difference in the world and will never be forgotten. Every once in a while God bestows special angels upon us who tirelessly and compassionately provide care to others. Nicole, Romi and Nicholas are such angels. If you are fortunate enough to be able to place a loved one at Litchfield Joy Senior Living we encourage you to do so. You and your loved ones will be so glad you did!
My mother had a terrible health crisis. She was very weak and couldn't live on her own anymore. THANK GOD Litchfield Joy Senior Living (LJSL) had a room available! The moment she arrived, Nicole and the staff made her a priority and made her feel welcomed. Situated in the middle of a neighborhood, LJSL looks like any other house. But it is designed specifically for seniors. It is homey, cheerful, immaculately clean and staffed by wonderful caregivers who take pride in giving the best care possible. If a resident pushes the "call" button, staff comes immediately - not 5, 10, or 30 minutes later. Nicole keeps detailed medical records and notes on each senior so that medications and doctors orders are followwed "to the letter". And she immediately notifies family of any changes - either good or bad. The bedrooms and baths are specifically handicap equipped and accessible, but still look happy and comfortable. And each room has its own climate control! All the residents come together to eat home-cooked meals in the large combination family room/kitchen. And those who choose to sit in the family room can enjoy the hussle-bussle and banter that goes on in any home. LJSL was such a gift at the moment Mom and I truly needed it. I felt like I struck gold when my dad was a resident at Litchfield Joy! Romi and Nicole Stoia, along with their lovely children and staff, treated my dad like he was their own beloved family member, with grace, dignity, humor and alot of love. Not to mention, superb, homemade delicious meals! All of this was done for a very reasonable fee. This put me at ease, and helped me to come to terms with, and negotiate my dear dad's end of life years. My dad, Albert, entered Litchfield Joy with advanced dementia, but quickly called Litchfield Joy home. He had so many smiles from lovely photos and videos that Nicole and her family shared with me - an out of state daughter. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect family to care for my cherished parent. They are now, and will always be a part of my own family. I will really miss speaking with Nicole on a regular basis, a special angel sent from God - with whom I bonded as a great friend, as well as a great medical advice and spiritual advocate. We need alot more people like the Stoias on this planet! In my heart Nicole and Romy and Litchfield Joy are like family. They have made our lives so much easier. I send them many kudos and would give them a "5 Star" rating. I would be glad to recommend them to anyone who is in need of their services. They are the best!!!!!
Litchfield Joy has been a blessing to our family ever since we met Nicole and Romy some 5 years ago. They helped us in our time of need to provide a safe and happy environment for my aging parents. Their home is cozy and inviting and very well maintained. They along with their caregivers are compassionate, caring and friendly. They are knowledgeable, professional and have much integrity. I trust them entirely. The care they give their residents is always filled with love and they go the extra mile to make sure everyone's needs are met.

Litchfield Joy is much more than an assisted living home, it’s a home in which all residents and staff are one big family. The staff goes above and beyond to create a comfortable and enjoyable home of care for a parent or loved one. We’re thrilled at the level of daily personalized care our parent receives. And the care is so much more with daily health vital checks along with Caretaker supervision and transportation for our parent’s monthly doctor office visits. Even Holiday and Birthday celebrations are included. Group dining is encouraged, but not required. Friendships are made. Individual climate control rooms with flat screen cable T.V. and private bath is perfect for our parent who enjoys group company but also their own private retreat.
A home away from home. When Nicole and Romulus say not to worry, they really mean it. Thank you for all that you do. Not only does the staff care about your parents or loved one’s welfare who are residents at Litchfield Joy, they also care about you, the Caregivers. We’re one big family.

I recommend Litchfield Joy to anyone looking for a high quality group home for themselves or a family member. My father received first rate care in the nine months he was there. The owners and care-giving staff were professional, kind and attentive; the house and his room, handsome and spotless; his fellow clients, friendly and happy; the food, very good in quality and variety. I was kept well informed on my dad's condition. It was easy to reach the owners by phone or text, and they were always responsive to my inquiries and requests. Dad was very happy there, loved his care-givers, and I was happy that he could be in such a nurturing environment.

Their kindness to Pat in her final days was the greatest gift we could have asked for, being there with her in her final moments, offering her comfort and peace. The home offers a loving and caring environment, where there is so much attention to detail, from individually air-conditioned rooms to live music, quality food, and personal attention to the details of their residents.
How good is the care? At 4am one night the caregiver on call heard her gasping for air, responded immediately, gave her oxygen, and with a quick call to 911, saved her life.
We had visited 10 group homes before deciding on Litchfield & Joy, and there is no doubt that this is truly the BEST care anyone who has a family member with diminished capacity can ask for.

My family was introduced to Litchfield Joy four months ago, when my father suffered a hip fracture and was no longer able to walk. Nicole and Romy made us immediately comfortable with their very-evident knowledge and concern for the patient’s well-being, and we knew without doubt that our dad would be in good hands. We quickly learned that group homes in Arizona are designed to look more like homes than institutions, but we felt that Litchfield Joy took that a step further. The house is nicely appointed with a big screen TV in the family room, a lovely salt-water fish tank, draperies and TVs in the patients’ rooms, and a general atmosphere of family. When my father was well enough, he was dressed in street clothes and spent time with the other patients in the common rooms. When he became too ill to join the others, Nicole sat and held his hand and played music for him. It is a testimony to Nicole and Romy that he never understood that he was in any kind of nursing facility — he thought we had found him a family to live with.
There are no words to adequately describe the care my father was given. I am beyond grateful that we found Nicole and Romy and would recommend Litchfield Joy without reservation to anyone needing residential nursing assistance. Competence in handling patients can be learned; true care and compassion cannot.
There often comes a time for many families when a parent transitions from an independent individual to an individual who needs supportive care. I found myself in this situation recently and elected to have Litchfield Joy Senior Living assist me with that need.
I looked at several options: in-home care, large commercial facilities, and various residential assisted living accommodations. I selected Litchfield Joy because they provided the most “home-like” setting for my fathers’ care, the owners take a genuine interest in their residents’ care, the caregivers actively engage with the residents creating a positive atmosphere and the facility was well maintained.

All the other residents here have been great and obviously enjoy living here, as well. I know I will be back to visit the friend I have made here during my short visit.
